MR. SILVER OR MR. GOLD
The best effect is to have Mr. Silver (aka Mr. Gold) pose as a statue at the entrance to your party. He makes a dramatic impression as guests enter. They aren't sure whether or not he's real, or a statue. Slowly Mr. Silver comes to life and greets guests with robotic movements and a mechanized voice.
